Clan KaK was originally formed in July 1999 by a few friends at work. We started out playing Q3 test but migrated to Unreal Tournament when it was released in November 1999. Adding a few more players to the clan, we ventured into Team games on public servers finding that they were (and still are) a very much hit and miss affair.

KaK's mission statement always will be:

  • We aim to have fun
  • No member is ever regarded unworthy to wear the KaK tag with the exception of campers and spammers
  • Just to repeat, camping is not tolerated
  • Members must be committed and be willing to play online when needed - if you don't play you don't get better and if you don't get better you lose the drive to play in the first place

In September 2000, KaK's active members merged with über UT clan Spirit. As KaK was originally about a few friends having a lot of fun online, I requested to keep the clan tag. A successful recruitment drive meant the clan was now more active than at any time previous. With a few members returning from Spirit (who have now long since closed), we played quite a few matches and enjoyed some success.

Time moves on.... Organized UT TDM is now pretty dead online. Unless you're in a 'serious' clan and play Clanbase, there's not much going on anymore. We are not recruiting for UT and never will again be so please don't ask. The KaK tag will live on for as long as I can hold an interest in it. Expect a game change when a suitable replacement arrives...
